BERING 85

The Bering 85 is part of the ground-breaking Coastal Series, with a wave piercing reverse-raked bow and a slender hull. She can cruise for 3,500 nautical miles at 8.5 knots, while burning only 8.5 gallons per hour, thanks to her incredibly efficient hull shape.

Designed for wave-piercing performance and smooth, fuel efficient passage making, the Bering 85 has a shallow draft, a good turn of pace and excellent range. The hull shape and profile are streamlined and eye-catching, whilst retaining all of the tried and tested engineering excellence that Bering are famous for.

Vibration and engine noise are almost non-existent and her hull is stable, easily driven and highly efficient, thanks to extensive CFD modelling. Slicing through waves, rather than rising up and over them, the Bering 85 represents the most advanced application of a design principle that has been used successfully for over a century.

Her contemporary interior is beautifully crafted from a choice of premium timber, complemented by leather and the finest upholstery fabrics. The main saloon features built-in seating, a spacious dining area and a large flat screen TV and entertainment centre. At the forward end of the saloon, the galley and pilothouse flow seamlessly forward. The well equipped pilothouse is equipped with the latest electronics and affords excellent views in all directions..

Down below, the staterooms can be configured in any number of ways, depending on how you would like to optimise the living space. Four guest staterooms and a crew cabin are possible, but we love to work with our customers and incorporate their own ideas so, let us know what you have in mind!

Outside, the Bering 85 has a huge sun pad on the bow and an open cockpit that is a wonderful place for alfresco dining. The flybridge is another great area for socialising, with sun pads, wet bar, refrigeration and a built-in grill. There is also ample space for a tender, with a powerful hydraulic crane for launching and recovering it.

Underway, the semi-displacement hull offers comfortable cruising with a good turn of pace. The elegant, slender hull slices through waves and provides a very stable ride. A full fuel load of 4,000 gallons will take you over 3,500 miles at 8.5 knots, making her a very economical passagemaker for the serious cruiser.
